Additional Administrative Appointments (2024-2025)
May 9, 2024 - Parkland School Division’s (PSD) Superintendent of Schools, Shauna Boyce, is pleased to announce the following administrative appointments for the 2024-2025 school year. In addition to the three previously announced administrators taking over for long term Principals heading into retirement, a ripple effect of moves have been made impacting over two-thirds of Division schools.
“Retirements definitely open some doors for our established leaders but we also wanted to be very intentional when it comes to movement amongst PSD’s leadership team,” explained Superintendent Boyce.
“As principals move, they bring successful strategies and practices from their previous schools, spreading effective methods throughout the division. This is a purposeful strategy meant to carry out PSD’s mission to assure supportive learning environments, meaningful experiences and healthy relationships that create opportunities to develop resilience, to gain diversity in perspectives and to achieve enduring success.”
The moves include two Principals moving schools, four Assistant Principals moving into Principal roles as well as one external candidate joining PSD.
Rosanne McIntyre, Principal
Blueberry School (K-9)
Rosanne McIntyre has been a fixture at Brookwood School serving students in a variety of positions since 2001. She taught Kindergarten, as well as Grades 1,3,4 and 6 and was an Inclusive Education Partner before joining the Administrative team. She became an Acting Assistant Principal in 2019 and since 2020-2021, has held the positions of Assistant Principal, Inclusive Education Lead and served as Acting Principal for 3 months at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. She has also taught at Paul First Nation and Cold Lake First Nation prior to joining PSD.
Mrs. McIntyre attended Concordia University College and transferred to the University of Alberta graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Elementary Education and a minor in Sociology. In 2008, she graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Elementary Education with a focus on Literacy. In 2023, Rosanne returned to the University of Alberta once more to complete a Graduate Certificate in School Leadership.

John Tyler, Principal
Entwistle School (K-9)
John Tyler began his teaching journey in 2004 with the North Vancouver School District where he held various teaching positions and served as an Athletic Director and eventually Vice Principal. He held administrative roles at a number of B.C. schools and has also served students as Principal of École Morinville Public School. John moved to Alberta in 2019 to take on the position of Director, Programming Excellence for Sturgeon Public Schools. He led district-wide professional learning and worked directly with school boards, while forming partnerships with Elders and Knowledge Keepers on Indigenous education within the public school system. Following his stop at Sturgeon Public Schools, Mr. Tyler moved back to B.C. where he has been the principal at a secondary (Grade 7-12) school in Kamloops.
John has a Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees from the University of British Columbia as well as a Master’s of Education: Administration and Leadership, also from UBC.

Christine Bileau, Principal
Graminia School (K-9)
Christine Bileau joined Parkland School Division for the 2022 - 2023 school year as Principal of Entwistle School after a twenty-year career with Edmonton Public Schools. Her first student teaching experience was at Woodhaven Middle School back in 2001. She officially began her teaching career teaching various subjects at Jasper Place High School including Knowledge & Employability, English, CALM, Math and Science. She’s taught various subjects in the High School setting and has previously served as a Department Head, Special Needs and Inclusive Learning. Christine began Acting Administrator roles beginning in 2018 at various Edmonton Public schools and finished up at Edmonton Public as Assistant Principal, Eastglen High School for Instructional and Operational Leadership.
Ms. Bileau graduated from the University of Alberta with a major in English Language Arts and a minor in Special Education. She has completed her Leadership Quality Standard certification through Concordia University and is completing coursework towards a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.

It’s been a privilege to work in such a supportive environment, and I am incredibly fortunate to be moving to Graminia School, another of PSD's exceptional schools nestled in a beautiful rural setting. I look forward to new meaningful relationships and community building in Gramina."
Scott Jaspers-Fayer, Principal
Greystone Centennial Middle School (Gr. 5-9)
Scott Jaspers-Fayer began his teaching career in 2012 and spent his first two years teaching in a fly-in first nation community in Northern Ontario and in High Prairie, Alberta. Scott then joined Parkland School Division, where he taught Math at Spruce Grove Composite High School for a semester and then at Memorial Composite High School in Stony Plain for the next five years, where he taught in numerous departments including Science, Math, Physical Education, and Career and Life Management (CALM). He also held the role of Department Head and Lead Teacher for Science at Memorial. His first foray into full-time Administration was a role as Assistant Principal at Duffield School which began in the 2020-2021 school year before he joined the admin team at Woodhaven for the 2023-2024 school year.
Mr. Jaspers-Fayer earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Honours from Cape Breton University in 2011. He added his Bachelor of Education - Intermediate and Senior Divisions from the University of Toronto in 2012. He then completed his Master of Education in Leadership Studies from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2021.

I look forward to establishing new connections with Greystone’s staff, students, and families and supporting the school’s excellent academic and extracurricular programming.”
Nicole Marcinkevics, Principal
High Park School (K-9)
Nicole began her teaching career with Parkland School Division in 2009. Throughout her PSD journey, she has taught at Stony Plain Central School, Brookwood School, and Prescott Learning Centre. She also served as Collaborative Teaching Partner at Prescott, Graminia, and Parkland Village Schools working with Kindergarten to Grade 9 students and teachers in the area of literacy. In 2019, Nicole accepted her first administrative role becoming Assistant Principal at Graminia School in 2019 and joined the Ecole Meridian Heights School community as Assistant Principal for 2023-2024 school year.
Nicole earned her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta in 2008. She completed her Master’s of Education with a focus on Early Learning and Literacy from the University of Alberta in 2013. She also added a Master’s of Business Administration at the University of Alberta School of Business, with a focus on Organizational Leadership and Strategic Management in 2020.

Treena Neumann, Principal
École Meridian Heights School (K-9)
Treena Neumann has been an administrator in the Parkland School Division for the past 13 years where she served the Woodhaven Middle School, École Broxton Park School, and Graminia School communities. Before entering administration, she taught English, Social Studies and Drama at the secondary level with Parkland School Division since 2006. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta in 2001 and in 2004, a Bachelor of Education with Distinction – after degree. She completed her Masters of Education from the University of Portland in 2019.

Tracey Gilmour, Principal
Tomahawk School (K-9)
Tracey began her teaching career in the United Kingdom where she served as a Kindergarten to Grade 6 teacher and school leader. She joined PSD as a Collaborative Teaching Partner at Muir Lake School in 2018. Tracey helped launch the Division’s Nature Kindergarten program-of-choice in 2018 and officially joined the administrative team at Muir Lake School as an Assistant Principal in the 2022-23 school year.
Tracey earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies (honours) from the University of East Anglia in 2002, achieved Qualified Teacher Status from Nottingham University in 2006, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Special Needs Education from that same institution in 2011 and completed a Master of Educational Leadership from Yorkville University in 2020.

Adrienne Owen, Assistant Principal
Spruce Grove Composite High School (Gr. 10-12)
Adrienne Owen joined Parkland School Division for the 2022-23 school year as Principal of High Park School. She came to PSD via St. Paul Education where she spent time in three different schools in the northern Alberta school division. Her first post after graduating from the University of Alberta was a Teacher Counsellor position at Glen Avon School. She spent a few years teaching Grade Four at Ashmont School before beginning her administrative career as an Assistant Principal and Coordinator of Student Supports with New Myrnam School. Previous work included an emphasis on environmental education, trades, project-based learning, and innovative strategies for student engagement, all in a northern Alberta rural setting.
Adrienne earned her Bachelor of Education degree from University of Alberta in 2010 and completed a Master of Science, Instructional Media and Educational Technology from Wilkes University in 2016.
"I consider it a true privilege to have been a part of the High Park School community for the past two years. I'm excited to be joining the team at SGCHS as they continue their outstanding efforts in supporting students to reach their full potential. I look forward to building connections as I commit to serving this vibrant school community."
