Assistant Principal Announced - Prescott Learning Centre

February 8, 2016 - Parkland School Division’s Superintendent of Schools Tim Monds is pleased to announce the following administrative appointment for the 2016-2017 school year effective March 2016.

Prescott Learning Centre’s administration team will be rounded out by Mrs. Nealle Dickson as the school’s first Assistant Principal.  Mrs. Dickson will join Principal Karen Stride-Goudie as they prepare to open the school in September of 2016.

“With the advent of two new Kindergarten to Grade 9 schools in Spruce Grove, it’s not just our students who should be excited about all the amazing changes happening in Parkland School Division,” said Monds.

“Many staff will be changing current posts with so many new and flexible learning environments being introduced. The ripple effect will mean we get to spread out all the amazing talent and leadership throughout the division. We’re confident that Karen and Nealle are up to the challenge when it comes to the extras involved with opening a brand new school.”

"I am thoroughly excited to be joining Karen as part of the administration team for Prescott Learning Centre," stated Dickson.

"It is an exciting time to be an educator, and I am absolutely honored to be part of a team that gets to create and design a 21st Century Learning environment from the ground up. I feel honored to continue to work within a school division that believes in, values and is committed to creating learning environments that enable children to build the skills necessary to succeed in our ever changing global world. I cannot wait to bring the vision of Prescott Learning Centre alive; a place where student-centered, innovative, digital learning environments will create authentic opportunities for all learners to succeed!"

Nealle began her teaching career with Parkland School Division after earning her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta in 2001. She taught a Grade 5/6 split class for 4 years at Tomahawk School. Nealle taught at Muir Lake School from 2005 to 2015 in various classrooms from Grades 3 to 8. Her first foray into school administration was as Acting Assistant Principal for Muir Lake School for the 2014-15 school year and was most recently Assistant Principal for École Meridian Heights School for the 2015-16 school year.  Nealle is currently enrolled in the University of Calgary to complete the “Educational Leadership” Masters in Education.
