Safety Concern for Bus Route 910

December 16, 2019 - We wanted to provide parents and guardians with an update related to the afternoon bus route delay for Bus 910 on Monday, December 16th. Graminia School staff identified a safety concern involving the bus driver for Bus 910 and took immediate action prior to the scheduled bus departure time. The delay was caused because a replacement driver had to make their way to Graminia School to complete the scheduled bus run and return students home safely.

We take this matter very seriously and we commend our staff for an appropriate and immediate response as soon as the safety concern was identified. Our bus contractor has terminated employment of the individual charged and we continue to cooperate with the local authorities on the investigation.

A replacement driver will be assigned to the bus route beginning Tuesday, December 17, 2019.

In Parkland School Division, the safety of students is our highest priority. We are taking this matter very seriously and we apologize for Monday’s delay.
