Payment Options

Transportation fees are now included within the Rycor Fee Management System. In an effort to reduce time, money and paper waste, parents can pay their children’s transportation fees through a secure online website.

If you are a parent who has multiple children, they can be set up to appear together under your online payment parent account. With a few simple mouse clicks, parents can view assessed fees and any outstanding balances, and pay for all of their children in a single transaction. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Interac Online. A payment plan can also be set up to spread the fees owing over multiple payments.

Parkland School Division Students can access the Rycor payment system through the PowerSchool parent portal. The Rycor Parent Guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to access and make payments.

Non-Parkland School Division Students attending Evergreen Catholic Schools, Living Waters Christian Academy, SML Christian Academy, or other schools that transportation is provided to by Parkland School Division Transportation can access the Rycor payment system through https://www.studentquickpay.com/psd70. The Rycor Non-PSD Parent Guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to access and make payments.

Alternate Seat Fee

Provincial transportation funding exists beyond 2.4 km from the primary residence to the nearest school along the shortest route. School boards are NOT mandated by legislation to register students with multiple or alternate pick-up and drop-off locations.

With vacancy on buses and resources available, it has been recent practice by Parkland School Division’s Transportation Services to allow alternate locations for either pick-up or drop-off in situations where children have parents with joint custody, day home/daycare, or before- or after-school scenarios. Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, Alternate Seat Fees will be charged for families who request and are approved for alternate seats on a different bus route.

New requests have to be located on existing routes with available spots on the bus in order to be considered.

When a parent or guardian reserves multiple locations for pick-up or drop-off, this occupies a seat on multiple buses even when its not being used. For example, if a child stays with mom one week, dad on alternate weeks and a daycare each afternoon, and all locations happen to be on different bus routes, that individual child is taking up three spots on three different buses at all times.

Transportation Services registered capacity is currently approaching full.
