January 23, 2017 - It's survey season and Parkland School Division wants to hear from all parents and guardians. Staff at the division are entrusted to provide students with a quality education but we need parents' help to achieve our Ultimate Goal: Student Success & Well-being. To support the Vision and Mission, Parkland School Division also has a number of Value & Belief statements including: WE VALUE collaboration and engagement with students, parents and our communities. Our successes are not possible without these contributions.
Consider this an annual check-up on the education system. There are a number of tools used with different audiences. In Parkland School Division, students voices are heard via the Tell Them From Me survey administered in February of every year. Students are guided through a series of questions that ask about experiences in school. All surveys are anonymous and are invaluable when it comes to informing decision-making in the Education Planning process at both the school and division level.
Parents and guardians across Alberta will receive their invitation to share their views on what's happening at school directly from Alberta Education. This process can be completed online before the deadline of Friday, February 24, 2017. Parents and guardians are encouraged to watch their mail if they haven't already received the survey. Instructions on how to complete the survey are included in the survey package including directions on how to return the survey directly to Alberta Education.
