Regular Board Meeting Highlights - April 9, 2024

Tuesday, April 9, 2024 - The Board of Trustees is pleased to share with all education stakeholders the highlights of our recent Board meeting held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
The adopted minutes will be available on our website following the next Regular Board meeting:
- The Board welcomed a delegation that included Division Principal of Indigenous and Northern Relations, Dean Bernard and Indigenous Education Facilitator, Leanne Traverse who presented the Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada; a large floor map that serves as a resource to all PSD schools, offering a distinct viewpoint on Indigenous culture and language.
- The Board approved the 2024-2025 Budget Assumptions.
- The Board received as information the Quarterly Financial Report for the period ending February 29, 2024.
- The Board received as information the French Immersion Report as presented by Division Principals, Shaye Patras (Numeracy and Assessment) and Linda Madge-Arkinstall (Literacy and Lifelong Learning).
- The Board also directed PSD Administration to explore options for stakeholder engagement opportunities with regards to the future of Spruce Grove Composite High School.
The next regular board meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 9 a.m.
